I’m Rajesh Vasa. I build AI systems and write about the ideas behind them.
I lead translational research at Deakin University’s Applied Artificial Intelligence Initiative. My work sits between research and engineering: turning promising ideas into systems that can work reliably in complex settings.
My current interests include AI agents, using AI to accelerate science and engineering, and integrating intelligent systems into demanding workflows. Experience across industry, academia, and public-purpose organisations has shaped how I think about reliability, expertise, and the human role in these systems.
This is my personal site for essays, reflections, and ideas for new projects. The writing explores the relationship between AI capability and human understanding; the projects show where some of those questions lead in practice.
